Leo Amari - President
Leo Amari helped found GoBiz Lending after experiencing the firsthand challenges of securing financing as a small business owner. As a multi-unit restaurant operator, Leo successfully navigated the complexities of the SBA market to grow his business into a recognized brand across California—during both economic downturns and periods of rapid growth.
After being turned down by traditional banks, Leo took matters into his own hands, learning and navigating the SBA loan marketplace. He learned how to structure deals, secure capital, and scale operations—eventually managing ground-up construction projects, franchise launches, and refinancing efforts. His ability to overcome the financial roadblocks many entrepreneurs face inspired him to launch GoBiz Lending: a firm built by business owners, for business owners.
Today, Leo brings over 30 years of real-world operational and financing experience, and personally oversees a team of more than 500 employees across his various ventures. His deep understanding of what it takes to build and grow a business—combined with a passion for helping others do the same—shapes the mission and culture of GoBiz Lending.
Under Leo’s leadership, GoBiz has become a trusted resource for entrepreneurs nationwide, helping clients access SBA, USDA, and commercial loan programs with clarity, speed, and confidence.

Curtis Anderson - Senior Vice President Credit Administration
Curtis brings over 15 years of experience in SBA lending, underwriting, and strategic advisory, making him a critical asset to the GoBiz Lending team. He began his career at National Bank of California as a Credit Analyst and quickly advanced to the Underwriting team within the Business Banking and SBA department, where he gained deep insight into SBA loan structures, credit policy, and deal evaluation.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where he developed a strong foundation in financial analysis, operations, and business strategy.
Following his time in traditional banking, Curtis served as chief consultant for multiple owner-operated businesses, applying his financial expertise to help entrepreneurs drive profitability and operational efficiency. His unique experience on both sides of the lending relationship—underwriting loans and running businesses—gives him unmatched perspective when guiding clients through complex financing transactions.
At GoBiz Lending, Curtis leads credit strategy and loan packaging, ensuring that every deal is thoughtfully structured, credit-worthy, and positioned for success with our lending partners. He is known throughout the SBA lending community for his collaborative approach, industry knowledge, and dedication to helping entrepreneurs access the capital they need to grow.

Kevin Miller - Senior Vice President Business Development
Kevin Miller brings over 25 years of experience in commercial lending, SBA finance, and real estate syndication to his role at GoBiz Lending. A graduate of Fresno State University with a degree in International Finance, Kevin launched his finance career in 1998 with the Money Store Commercial Lending Division, where he quickly rose to prominence—earning President’s Club honors for top performance throughout most of his tenure.
Kevin has deep expertise in structuring complex SBA and conventional loans, with a proven track record of helping entrepreneurs access capital for business acquisitions, commercial real estate, and expansion projects. His leadership in multifamily and retail center syndications led to the creation and management of XREIT, a private real estate investment fund with over $80 million in assets under management.
A lifelong adventurer and entrepreneur at heart, Kevin’s personal passion for the ocean and mountains has inspired his own ventures, including retreat properties in Rosarito Beach, Mexico, and Lake Tahoe, California. He brings the same spirit of purpose, creativity, and integrity to every client relationship at GoBiz Lending.
At GoBiz, Kevin leads strategic lending and investment initiatives, leveraging his broad capital markets experience and personal network of lenders and investors to match clients with the right financing solutions.

Marie DeWitt - Client Services and Operations Coordinator
Marie brings hands-on experience in high-level SBA lending support, having served as a personal assistant to one of the top SBA Business Development Officers in the country. Through this role, she gained deep insight into the end-to-end loan process and became highly skilled in working with business owners across industries—helping them navigate the documentation, communication, and operational requirements that are critical to a smooth funding experience.
At GoBiz Lending, Marie plays a pivotal role in client coordination, internal communication, and deal flow management. Her ability to anticipate needs, respond quickly, and maintain clarity throughout the lending process ensures both our clients and our internal teams stay aligned and on track.
Marie’s adaptability and problem-solving mindset make her an indispensable part of the GoBiz Lending team, helping maintain the seamless, responsive service that sets us apart in the lending space.
